With the fixtures beginning to pile up, Everton welcomes local rivals, Liverpool, to Goodison Park. After a poor start to the season, the Reds are coming off the back of two consecutive wins, beating Newcastle with a late winner midweek. Harvey Elliot and Fabio Carvalho once again shone, and with the Liverpool skipper out, they will have big shoes to fill in the Derby. Darwin Nunez will be available for selection after his 3-match suspension, but an in-form Roberto Firmino could be keeping him out of the starting XI. Frank Lampard’s Everton has had a lackluster start to the season, winless in five matches. As we all know, form goes out the window in a Derby, and Goodison Park will be bouncing. It’ll be a scrappy affair, with the Toffees sitting in a low block. They’ll look to attack on the counter, using Anthony Gordon as the main outlet to break. I think it’ll be a close affair, and Darwin Nunez will make the difference off the bench.
