Match Notes-

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool welcome Aston Villa to Anfield in match week 4 of the Premier League. The Reds have had a strong start to the season, picking up 7 out of a possible 9 points.
Aston Villa have also bounced back from their opening week thrashing at Newcastle, winning their last two games comfortably. Unai Emery has got his team playing some exciting football, with new signing Moussa Diaby shining. With Virgil Van Dijk suspended and Ibrahima Konate injured, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip will fill the center-back roles. Although they looked solid playing together for the majority of the match last week, Villa will know that this could be a weak spot for Liverpool. Coming to Anfield, Emery’s men will be organized, absorbing pressure and looking to expose Liverpool on the counter.

Darwin Nunez will feel that he’s earned a start, after coming off the bench to score two late goals against Newcastle. For a player who’s lacked confidence, Nunez showed what he’s truly capable of with two world-class finishes. Something about that game against Newcastle tells me Liverpool will soon regain the title “Mentality Monsters.”

I think it’ll be a high-scoring game, with both teams having lots of chances. Alisson Becker will play an important role, making some key saves.

Score Prediction

Liverpool 3-2 Aston Villa
