The 243rd Merseyside derby is set to take place at Anfield, with both sides in desperate need of a win. While the Reds are yet to win a Premier League match in 2023, a rejuvenated Everton side under Sean Dyche are coming off the back of a big win over league leaders Arsenal. Klopp’s men have really struggled to find the back of the net in recent weeks, and with constant defensive errors, have looked very vulnerable. Liverpool will do everything to earn the three points, hoping to start a charge for a top four place. They’ll feel a Champions League finish will be the target at this point, having dropped far too many points to challenge for the title.
Everton will be benefiting from a new manager bounce, and Dyche will have his side up for the game. They’ll sit back and will be organized, making it very difficult for the Reds to break them down. The Anfield crowd will be in full force, helping the Reds fight for every ball. It will be scrappy, but I think Liverpool will get the 3 points in the end.
