Some big stops on early counters. Spent the last 5 minutes just wondering what the bloody feck was happening.

TAA – 5
Got some decent early crosses in but lost defensively. 

Na… I mean Fab – 6
If the challenge on St. Max is on the other side of the halfline and it’s a straight red. He’d get a 3 match ban and Klopp would still try to start him at centerback next week. Mixed bag. Would rather have that mixed bag in midfield. Beating a dead horse. 

Kabak – 7
Thought he did well considering how early the yellow came. Good distribution, assured going forward. 

Robbo – 6
Loads of space to work with. Just missing the final ball / finish. More dead horses.

Gini – 5
Largely anonymous. Even worse when pushed back into the anchor role. 

Thiago – 7
Could have easily bagged a couple assists first half. Probably is wondering what else he’s got to do to make this thing go. Didn’t look thrilled with getting the hook. Don’t blame him as we lost the midfield and the balance of the game when he went off.

Bobby – 6
He’ll go under the radar for all the chances the front four squandered. Quietly influential in buildup and making their backline uncomfortable. Should have had at least 2 assists before the half.

Salah – 6
Mad how he scores that first with a bit of magic and then goes on to flub chance after chance. Putting in all the work and then hammers for feet. So frustrating.

Jota – 5
Still brings the direct threat but his first touch and his decision making were off all day.

Sadio – 4
Like watching a hampster right now. Feels cruel and unusual. 

SUBSTITUTIONS

Milner – 6 (‘58)
Brings the steel and the leadership, but just doesn’t have the vision or creativity needed to pick up the team and kill a game off.

Jones- 5 (‘77)
First action in what seems like forever. Does ok but then loses the ball in some super dangerous spots.
