LFC have completed the signing of German youth Melkamu Frauendorf from Hoffenheim.
A young dynamic attacking midfield who made 39 appearances for the German side’s U17(per tranafermkt) and scored 7 times and assisted 5 times, this young prospect has a bright future ahead of him in my opinion.
Standing at 5’9″ some people say winning the ball in the air may be a problem, however I think this is a non issue since he is currently only 16, he’s still growing. However. One thing that won’t naturally come (that he already has) is his work rate and willingness to work hard, which this kid has in spades. Now as we all know, that’s something Klopp loves. From what I’ve been able to dig up from game footage, he is a quick player who does well with getting space from a defender quickly and netting the ball. He appears as well to have a solid passing ability as well as a nice first touch.
Given what we’ve seen thus far, and knowing our ability to develop youth talent, I have high hopes for Frauendorf, and won’t be surprised to see him up on the first team in a few years time.
