Check out our new podcast with Vicki Wallace and Todd Hauber. The duo has been working on growing the Reds supporter’s club in Utah and we want to help them get the word out to other fans in the area. See the message from them below and follow them on social media to show them your support.
The Liverpool Supporters Club – Utah, is the unofficial supporter’s group based in SLC, they have been meeting since 2018, the group was started by Todd Hauber. Born in Utah Todd has been a Liverpool fan since he was 10, Todd’s father became a Liverpool fan whilst attending secondary school in England in the 1980s. He brought the love of football as a sport, as well as a special place for the Reds, back home with him, and made sure to instill that same love in the next generation. Todd started a LFC Utah Supporters Facebook Community page in order to meet other like-minded Reds in the area, since starting the group it has consistently grown. The first watch party and subsequent meetups have been at the Fiddlers Elbow in Sugar House. Vicki Wallace is a born and bred Red, she moved to the USA in 2005 from Liverpool and moved to Utah from South Florida in 2017.
Todd and Vicki are working together to promote the Supporters Group in SLC and surrounding areas. They have created a new Facebook Group : https://www.facebook.com/groups/LiverpoolSupportersGroupUtah, Twitter account @LiverpoolUtah, and Instagram account @lfcutah. The groups are being used locally and nationally to help spread the word and increase the Utah fan base. The fan base in Northern Utah widespread across a large demographic area, so in order to allow members to meet and watch games a second viewing location is being considered.
The short term mission of the supporters’ group is to meet new friends who are RED, to watch games together, and sing our songs in full voice. Long term we would like to network with other supporter groups so that we could visit fellow reds across the USA and even perhaps make a couple of trips across the pond to watch a live game. Ultimately the goal is to towards becoming an OLSC.
