Mbappe & Fekir fans outside Melwood insist their announcement will come first

After pictured last week with LFC co-owner LeBron James, Kylian Mbappe has been closely linked with a move to Merseyside. According to the group of three supporters outside Melwood fiercely clutching “WELCOME TO LIVERPOOL KYLIAN” signs, the twenty-year-old French World Cup winner should be announced any day now.

But there is some tension among Liverpool Supporters as the four others outside the training facility insist Nabil Fekir will be the first big signing of the summer. The twenty-five-year-old French attacking midfielder was set to sign for Liverpool last summer, but the deal fell through under controversial circumstances. Leaked photographs and video of Fekir from a photoshoot in an LFC kit had supporters convinced the deal was all but done. But the announcement never came.

The tension outside Melwood is palpable as Mbappe fans and Fekir fans shout conspiracies back and forth, pointing to retweets from journos and agents.

“Mbappe plays as Liverpool on Fifa!” one man shouts at a teenager wearing red Beats by Dre.

“Fekir Friday,” another fan mutters under their breath.

It’s going to be a long transfer window for these supporters until one or both of these must-have signings are announced.
