Good day fellow Reds!! We are on the eve of perhaps Liverpool’s biggest match under Jurgen Klopp to date. Sure, we made the UCL final last year. However, since no one expected that, it’s almost as if we were playing with house money. This time feels different. This time it feels like the de facto final! This is our chance to show and prove that we belong back among Europe’s elite, and that we were not just one-off. This is Mo’s chance to go against Messi. For Virgil to shut down Suarez. This is our time to shine! The weather at kickoff looks to be sublime! Temps in the 60’s and sunshine.  What a glorious night for football!

Injuries and Suspensions

The only name and of course biggest by far is Bobby. He’s trained with the team, but remains a game time decision. This would be a massive loss. All signs point to him being OK, but Klopp said, unless he’s “100%” he won’t start. I find that far-fetched and peg it as if he’s not at least at 80% he won’t start.

The Spanish giants have a full squad to pick from, sans Rafinha.

So it looks like if Bobby is a go, it’s our best XI vs theirs.  Which in all actuality, is how it should be.

How They got Here

After finishing second in their group, Liverpool got past Bayern with a score line of 3-1. Then, they skated past Porto on a 6-1 aggregate score.

Barca finished first in their group, and took down Lyon 5-1 on aggregate, and the Scum 4-0.

Lineup and Predictions

The Brazilian Beaut is in net. Ahead of him will be Trent, The PFA player of the year, Matip, and Robbo. The midfield is where it gets interesting. I believe that it should be Hendo, Fabinho, and Keita. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Gini in there instead of Naby. The front three picks itself, that is unless Bobby cannot go, then expect Divock to start in his place, with Mo and Sadio on the wings.

The score will be 2-1 Liverpool. I see the Egyptian king taking MOTM honors.
