Three Hosts, 24 Hours, One Great Cause: American Scouser’s Pod-A-Thon Returns

There are no shifts or hosts sneaking off for a nap. The three of us are in it from beginning to end, joined by guests and our community for Liverpool discussion, laughs, and the increasingly unpredictable conversations that come with staying awake far too long.

More Than $10,000 Donated—and Counting

Over the past two years, our Pod-A-Thon fundraising efforts have helped us donate more than $10,000 to the 23 Foundation. That happened because people showed up: sponsors backed an hour, authors and artists donated their work, supporters bid on auction items, and viewers gave what they could. For a volunteer-run community like ours, that is something we are incredibly proud of. This year, we want to build on that generosity and make our third Pod-A-Thon our biggest yet.

How You Can Get Involved

Our fundraising combines hourly sponsorships, a silent auction, and GoFundMe donations, with Super Chats during the broadcast also going toward the total. Individuals, businesses, Official Liverpool Supporters Clubs, and pubs can sponsor an hour, with the opportunity to join us on air to talk about their community, Liverpool, and the cause we are supporting. You do not need to sponsor an entire hour to make a difference. Even $1 helps. Small donations add up, and sharing the fundraiser or encouraging a friend to tune in helps us reach more people. Follow American Scouser’s social channels for auction details, donation links, and sponsorship information. You can watch the broadcast on American Scouser TV on YouTube and keep us company as we work our way through all 24 hours.

About the 23 Foundation

Jamie Carragher founded the 23 Foundation in 2009 with a simple mission: to help give local kids a chance. The foundation supports sick, disabled, and disadvantaged children, alongside schools, foodbanks, and community initiatives. Its work began with young people in Merseyside and now reaches families and communities further afield. That work is the reason behind our 24 sleepless hours. We are proud to support it—and grateful to everyone who helps turn a weekend of football talk into something that makes a difference.
