Have you ever been to Dream Land and didn’t know it?? The dust hasn’t settled on the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa and so many people’s heads are falling off. ‘We lost the chance to go ten points clear’. If that’s you, can you please just take a minute to remind yourself where Liverpool is currently at? All I hear is we have City and Newcastle next. That is an absolute fact. However, the TV networks and social media are already driving all LFC’s fan base into a spin with ‘every game is a must-win because Arsenal is waiting to pounce.

ASTV Shorts: Arne Slot’s Calmness

The outside world’s perception is that this Premier League title is up for grabs because little old Liverpool are leading the way and isn’t good enough. However, we’re eight points ahead(I don’t give a flying f*ck they have a game in hand now) because they have to come to Anfield.

My annoyance with myself and a lot of our fans is??

I still can’t enjoy it, what’s wrong with me, or am I alone??

If we had Man City chasing us down I’d be thinking “You’re right to be worried.” However, is Arsenal going to win every game? Absolutely no chance.

The Villa draw is another tough away game chalked off. I’m at a stage where I just need to find a way to not lose my mind when we don’t extend a lead at the top of the Premier League from 7 to 10 points. Consider how tough the PL is and how fucking arrogant is of me and any other Liverpool fan to neglect that fact. In fact, when I typed it I was embarrassed for myself even thinking about it.

Liverpool is in a position that is beyond belief, to be honest. My question at the start was are we in Dream Land? You better believe it. No matter what happens in the next two games. Just ask yourself how many times will we at least match Arsenal’s results.

A Dream Stretch

We play,

Southampton (H), Everton (H), Fulham (A), West Ham (H), Leicester (A), Tottenham (H), Palace (H). I think there are 6 bankers here.

Does Arsenal come to Anfield and beat us? There are three games left with a title to be won and Anfield is in a frenzy. They can’t breathe because our lads know this is immortality. Who’s going to win that one?

Arne Slot is navigating these tough games superbly. The setback at Goodison, a scrappy win to Wolves, and the toss of a coin at Villa.

However, we go on. The season won’t be sorted over the next 2 games. It might make it uncomfortable for a period, but ultimately when we meet the challenges head-on after City and Newcastle, that will be what determines who wins the Premier League.

And then I’ll no longer be in Dream Land…it will be a reality.
