Match Notes:

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool travel to Brighton at the weekend, looking for an essential 3 points to keep their challenge for a top-four place alive. The Reds have looked deflated in recent weeks, sloppy in defense and lacking creativity in attack. After falling to Brentford and scraping a draw against Wolves in the FA Cup, Liverpool is in need of a solid performance to build off of. Virgil Van Dijk has been added to the long list of injuries for the Reds, meaning Ibrahima Konate will likely partner Joel Matip in defense. Though the return of Roberto Firmino and new signing Cody Gakopo could help spark things going forward, I think the problems for Liverpool will come in midfield. After losing Graham Potter, Brighton has continued their remarkable form under Roberto De Zerbi. The Seagulls are a very brave side, who won’t change their style of play based on their opponent. Going away to Brighton is a tough task for any side, and I think Liverpool will struggle. It will be a high-scoring affair, and both sides will have a lot of chances.

Score Prediction:

Brighton 2-2 Liverpool
