Match Notes:

At the start of a fixture-packed October, Arsenal welcome Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to the Emirates. The gunners are absolutely flying, sitting on top of the table with 21 points. From their opening 8 matches, the Gunners have won 7 and lost just once. Arteta’s side is playing beautiful football with a young side full of energy. Liverpool currently sits 9th, with just 10 points from 7 matches. The Reds threw away 2 points last week drawing 3-3 with Brighton at Anfield but looked strong midweek against Rangers. Some things just not clicking for the Reds, and the likes of Mohammed Salah, Virgil Van Dijk, and Darwin Nunez haven’t looked at their best. Interestingly, Klopp tried a new system in Europe that saw 4 attackers on the pitch at a time. Liverpool created a lot of chances, and with a bit of luck could have scored 3 or 4 more goals.

This is a very interesting game, as Arsenal has really struggled against the Reds in previous seasons. The likes of Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Martin Ødegaard will give Liverpool some trouble, especially with the home crowd behind them. If Klopp surprises Arteta with the new system showcased midweek, Liverpool could cause some problems for Arsenal. I think Arsenal will come out strong and score early, but the game will settle down and with the attacking options of Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Mohammed Salah or Luis Diaz will be able to get a goal back.

Score Prediction:

Arsenal 2-2 Liverpool
