Match Notes-

After a tough opening weekend for Klopp’s men at Craven Cottage, they’ll look to bounce back as they welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield for the home opener. The Reds looked a bit flat against the newly promoted Fulham, and with the loss of Thiago in conjunction with a laundry list of other injuries, Liverpool is lacking depth in midfield. It will be interesting to see how Klopp manages the next few matches with limited players to choose from. While he could turn to the experience of Henderson, Milner, and Fabinho, he could also look to youngsters Carvalho and Elliott to provide a spark. Most will expect Darwin Nunez to start, as he looked threatening off the bench and helped the Reds salvage a draw last week. Viera’s men will likely sit back and look to play on the counterattack, maybe having some luck on the wings. The Saints will give Liverpool a competitive match, but the link-up play between Nunez, Salah, and Diaz will be too much for them to handle.
