Matchweek 37: Burnley 0 – 3 Liverpool – Player Ratings

Mad to think we were the worst team in the world’s toughest league for over a month and can still qualify for Champions League…

RATINGS

Alisson– 7

A couple of nervy moments where he struggled with whether to come out and snuff out the danger or stay put. Overall, made some good stops with good positioning.

TAA – 7

Grew as the game went on defensively. Influential going forward. Cutting in and creating space as well as whipping in deliveries.

Nat Phillips – 10

Clean sheet. Crucial goal. Critical goal line clearance with the game in the balance. Nat Phillips, ladies and gentleman. Our starter next to VVD next season? Let’s calm down a bit, eh?

Rhys Williams – 7

Did a lot of losing the first ball whilst winning the second. Which is drastically better than if he’d done the opposite.

Robbo – 8

Dogged effort, rewarded with two assists.

Fab – 6

Still looks tired. But takes up space and did well to break up play on the counter.

Thiago – 8

Third game on the trot where he’s been one of our most influential on the pitch.

Gini – 7

He’s not always the sexiest out there. But he’s efficient. 100% pass completion against a team looking to sit 8 behind the ball and huff it up field is about all you could ask for.

Salah – 7

Consistently threatened and stretched the backline.

Firmino – 8

For all the talk of his lack of proficiency in front of goal, he’s picked a nice time to tickle the nets.

Mane – 6

Speaking of a lack of proficiency in front of goal… Mane has quietly assisted in consecutive games. Despite his form, still churning the till.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Ox – 7 (‘81)

Sits Tarkowski down and bangs one home. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer fella.

Milner / Some greek lad – N/A
