Liverpool vs Cardiff Preview
Good Day fellow Reds! Sunday at 11am EST, the first place Reds travel down to Wales and take on the relegation battling Cardiff City F.C.. As it sits right now, the Mighty Liverpool sit on top of the table, two points ahead of Abu Dhabi FC. Hopefully with some help from Spurs, that lead will be the same at kickoff on Sunday. Cardiff currently sit on 31 points. That leaves them two points behind Brighton, in eighteenth. As it stands, they would complete the trio of the relegated clubs. It goes without saying that this is a MASSIVE game for both clubs. For Liverpool, to continue the dream season, and for Cardiff, a chance to stay in the league for next season. The weather looks to be superb, with temps in the high sixties, and plenty of sunshine. Perfect for a high-flying attack!
Injury News
All quiet on the home front! Degsey missed out on Porto due to illness, but looks to be on the mend. Rhian and Ox are still on their way back. Other than that though, this squad is fully healthy at the most opportune time!
Cardiff though, look to be without a litany of players. Defender Sol Bamba is out with a serious knee injury. GK Alex Smithies(shoulder) and Mathew Connolly(ankle). Callum Paterson will miss with an ankle injury, and there are doubts over mid-fielders Aron Gunnarsson and Harry Arter who are nursing back and calf injuries respectively.
Previous From
Liverpool’s previous five league match results are as follows: W(2-0 Chels). W(3-1 SoTon). W(2-1 Spurs). W(2-1 Ful). W(4-2 Burnley). Thats a perfect fifteen out of fifteen points!
Cardiff’s previous five league match results are as follows: W(2-0 BHA). L(0-2 Burnley). L(0-2 ADFC). L(1-2 Chels) . W(2-0 WHU). Only good enough for six from a possible fifteen points.
Lineup and Prediction
It took only thirty-four matches, but it looks like this team has finally found its best lineup. The only question is when does Gomez take his spot back at CB? Alisson will be in the Net. In front of him looks to be Robbo, Matip, VVD, and Trent. The dynamic mid-field lines up with Fabinho, Keita and Hendo. With the front three consisting of Mo, Bobby, and Sadio. Sadio gets the brace and MOTM. 4-0 Reds!
