Andrea Gomes to replace Can?

Emre Can appears to be leaving on a free transfer to Juventus or perhaps to Bayern Munich even though he maintains that no decision has been made yet. Will he stay with Klopp who has undoubtedly improved Emre’s play over the last 2 seasons, or cash in while he can and go to a club with a much easier route to the Champions League?

Latest candidate to replace Emre Can is Andrea Gomes. Klopp’s admiration of Gomes has been talked about even over last summer when Liverpool made the big move to sign Keita. With Gomes not getting enough playing time at Barcelona, the rumors start again.

Will Liverpool make a move for him in the summer? Should they? Gomes definitely fits the bill in terms of filling Liverpool’s midfield needs but will he get much more playing time at Liverpool with Keita coming in to a midfield who already has Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum and Oxelade-Chamberlain. One would hope that Liverpool can be in the chase for more silverware next season which will require a much deeper midfield and Gomes would definitely be a good signing at the right price
