Born in Manila, Philippines, John was introduced to Liverpool Football Club through a number of coincidences. One night, he switched to a Liverpool-Blackburn game playing live in which Fernando Torres scored one of the greatest volleys in club history. That certainly piqued his interest, with a little game called FIFA being the icing on the cake in cementing his Liverpool fandom.
Since moving to the United States in 2017, John has been incredibly grateful for the accessibility of watching Liverpool games compared to his home country (the Philippines broadcasts game late at night or very early in the morning.) He joins American Scouser looking to share his passion for the club with others and hopefully inspire more to join the fandom as he once did
