Match Notes-

A struggling Leeds United welcome Liverpool to Elland Road, in a match where both teams could desperately use 3 points. The home side find themselves in a relegation dogfight with 30 matches played, and will be playing every game until the end of a season like a cup final. It’s extremely tight at the bottom of the table, and every point is priceless. Leeds are coming off the back of a 5-1 thrashing from Crystal Palace, and have been shaky at the back all season, having conceded an average of 1.8 goals per game. While the Reds will look to exploit this, Javi Garcia’s men will be compact at the back, and having beaten the Reds at Anfield earlier in the season, will believe that they can take something from the game. Jurgen Klopp’s side are in an unfamiliar position, sitting in 8th place, with a top four finish seeming more and more unlikely. Liverpool have blown hot and cold this season, thrashing Manchester United and beating Manchester City, while also losing against the likes of Bournemouth and Wolves. It’s hard to predict what version of the team will show up, and that will be the overall deciding factor of the match. The return of Thiago Alcantara and Luis Diaz may provide the spark needed in the Liverpool team, with the Reds hoping to give a final push towards securing European football. It will be a tight affair, and Elland Road will be bouncing. I think Leeds will snatch a point, making it a scrappy affair.

Score Prediction

Leeds 1-1 Liverpool
