RATINGS
Becker – 9
Home record should have an asterisk. Any other keeper in the world and we lose that game.
TAA – 6
Far from his marauding best. But improved as the game went on and wasn’t a turnover machine.
Fabinho– 9
Switched sides to help Trent and was a behemoth. The way he shrugged off Rashford when he looked in on goal was worth the entire monthly price of Peacock. Now only if you could rewind the stream…
Henderson – 8
I understand it. But I’ll always hate him on the back line. That said, put in a shift and did well.
Robertson – 6
Like Trent, struggling with final delivery. Especially wasteful first half with a series of shanks and mishits. Can’t ever fault the effort though. Has loads of that.
Shaq – 7
Fared better than I feared. Especially pressing and working hard out of possession. Like Thiago, does well to find the half spaces. Faded a bit, second half.
Thiago – 9
It’s a real shame the rest of the side isn’t clicking up top because he’s a class above everyone at the moment. Cheeky turns, quick flicks, long accurate diagonals. He’s got a bit of it all. Nearly pulled off a sensational strike that De Gea did well to get to.
Gini – 7
Did really well snuffing out Fernandes first half. Reckon he’s waiting to find out if Fab will come back to the midfield before he sorts that contract.
Salah – 4
There are serious, serious confidence issues if you’re afraid to take Luke Shaw off the dribble.
Firmino – 5
Credit for being one of the few willing to try to put one on frame. A big let off shooting when he could have walked Robbo in though.
Mane – 6
Looks most likely of the front three to come closest to scoring without actually scoring. At least he’s coming close? I don’t know anymore…
SUBSTITUTIONS
Jones – 6 (‘76)At least he was willing to take people on.
Origi / Milner (N/A)
