Liverpool vs Chelsea Preview
Good Day fellow Reds!!! This is the day we have all been waiting for! Destiny Delivered! It’s coming home! After thirty long years, the trophy will be presented to our captain on the the Kop! The champs come into the match on 93 points. Chelsea come in on 63 points – which is one point ahead of Leicester City and Manchester United, both sitting on 62 points (although this may change with the Scum playing earlier in the day). Chelsea also sit four points ahead of Wolves. At this point, Wolverhampton will need some help over the final two matches to qualify for the Champions League next year. The weather at kickoff will be in the mid 60s with mostly cloudy skies throughout the evening so the celebration shouldn’t have any weather issues to contend with.
Injuries
For the champions-elect, there’s good news coming out of Melwood. James Milner is back in contention to be selected, as he continues to recover from his hamstring injury suffered a few weeks back. Matip and Henderson are still both out; however Hendo will be on the stage to shuffle his way into Liverpool history once more!
For the blues, Billy Gilmour is out with a knee injury, and N’Golo Kante is out with a hamstring injury.
Previous From
The Reds are a bit out of form taking only seven from a possible 15 points. Their form in the previous five league matches are as follows:
L (1-2 ARS); D (1-1 BUR); W (3-1 BHA). W (2-0 AVL). L (0-4 MCI).
The Chelsea Rentboys come into this match taking nine from a possible 15 points. Their form in the previous five league matches are as follows:
W (1-0 NOR); L (0-3 SHU); W (3-2 CRY); W (3-0 WAT); L (2-3 WHU).
Lineup and Prediction.
The lineup for the coronation should see all the familiar faces: Alisson in net, Robbo, Joe, Virg, and Trent across the back, Fab, Gini, and Keita in the midfield (though I think Millie comes on to see out the match), and the front three get their crowning moment as the most dynamic attacking force in all of world football over the last 3 seasons!
Mo loves scoring worldies against Chelsea, and I think he gets two here, with the Reds winners 3-1.
Well guys, this is it. The moment we have all been waiting for, some longer than others. Take it in – enjoy it! Even though this team is set up for years to come, there is no guarantee that this will happen again. And oh yeah… Chelsea, we have not forgotten (in case you have, here is a reminder)!
