Elliott Signs Pro Contract
Harvey Elliott, the 17 year-old prodigy, has signed his first pro contract with Liverpool today. The boyhood Red was part of Fulham’s academy and came over to Liverpool for an undisclosed fee last year. Since then, he has been a star at the U23 level and is now getting time with the first team. He was even taken to Madrid last year for the UEFA Champions League Final as a sign of how much the club thinks of him.
He is a natural winger that can play on the right or left side as needed. He made his LFC debut against MK Dons last year in a Carabao Cup game making him the second-youngest debut player in the club’s history. That itself is quite a huge statement of the club’s intent with him.
As a lifelong Liverpool fan, playing at Anfield was a dream for the kid. “I think when I stepped out on the Anfield pitch when I played Arsenal, I think it was an emotional thing for me,” he added. “To obviously be watching the players and to be playing them with them, honestly it’s a dream come true.”
