Liverpool welcomed their fierce rivals Manchester United to Anfield in hopes of continuing their unbeaten Premier League Run. Virgil Van Dijk put Liverpool ahead after 14 minutes with a thumping header into the back of the net. Liverpool were creating chance after chance, having two goals disallowed by VAR. In the second half, Liverpool continued to dominate, but United did have their chances to level the score. Anthony Martial hit the ball over the bar from close range, summing up United’s evening. Mohammed Salah secured the points for Liverpool with a goal in stoppage time, assisted by Alisson Becker. Liverpool are now 16 points clear of second-place Manchester City with a game in hand.
