Liverpool set to go after Ruben Neves of Wolverhampton

Liverpool is rumored to be interested in the 21 year old player who was Wolverhampton’s record signing last year for £15 million

The Wanderers are planning to have lined up his replacement by pursuing Benfica’s Anderson Talisca. The Brazilian is currently on loan at Besiktas and has shown great form in the Turkish Super Lig as well as the Turkish club’s run in the Champions League. Besiktas topped their group in the qualifying round and Talisca was a key player in their successful run which came to an end when they met German giants Bayern Munchen.

Neves has impressed this season with his play-making ability as well as his long range shooting ability.  Ruben spent three seasons for Portuguese giants Porto before joining Wolverhampton last year. He has also been a national team player in several age groups from U16 up. He was the captain of the U17 Portugal team who reached the semi-finals in 2014.

He is mainly a defensive midfield player but has impressed with his ability to distribute the ball and creating opportunities from his position. His aggressive style and pressing ability also makes him a good candidate to join Liverpool.
