Liverpool vs Arsenal Preview

Good Day fellow Reds!!! Wednesday, July 15th, the Reds travel down to London to take the pitch against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. This contest sees the Champions sitting on 93 points against Arsenal, who at 50 points, are ninth in the league and nine points out of qualifying for Europe next season.  Another day of brilliant weather is in the works, with the temperature hovering around 70°F, and nothing but sunshine in the forecast! The match can be seen for free on Peacock, is NBC’s new streaming service, which will replace NBC League Pass starting next season. It features a “free tier” and paid tiers. The first paid tier being $4.99 per month with no more that five minutes of ads per sixty minutes. And the second tier being $9.99 per month for ad-free streaming. Let’s hope it works on its debut!

Injuries and Suspensions

The only name outside of Hendo and Matip that appear on the injury list for Liverpool is James Milner. Millie is out still rehabbing his hamstring injury. In the press conference, however, Klopp said that while he is out for tomorrow, Milner should be fit when we lift the trophy next Wednesday against Chelsea.

For the Gunners, the injury list is just a little bit longer. Calum Chambers is out due to his knee, as is GK Bernd Leno and FW Gabriel Martinelli. Pablo Mari is out with an injury to his ankle. Mesmut Ozil is a question mark while nursing a back injury (how has the mother ship not come back for him yet? Good God!) Also, Eddie Nketkiah is out on suspension after his red card against Leicester City.

Previous Form

The Reds have taken ten from a possible fifteen points in their last five matches. Their previous form is as follows:
D (1-1 BUR); W (3-1 BHA); W (2-1 AVL); L (0-4 MCI); W (4-0 CRY)

Arsenal come into this match also taking ten from a possible fifteen points in their last five matches. Their previous form is as follows:
L (1-2 TOT); D (1-1 LEI); W (2-0 WOL); W (4-0 NOR); W (2-0 SOU).

Line Up and Predictions

With needing three wins in the final three matches to achieve a points record, the time for messing around with the lineups is done. Alisson in Goal. Robbo, Joe, Virg, and Trent in the back four. Fab, Gini, and Keita in the midfield. Sadio, Bobby, and Mo up front, with Mo making his 150th appearance for the Club. Congratulations on that!

2-0 Reds. Sadio has a history of destroying Arsenal at the Emirates, and I think it continues and gets him MOTM.
