Liverpool Transfer News: Lyon Open to Sale of €50 million Reds’ Target reported by Aditya Joshi

The 2018-19 campaign across all of the top European leagues has been concluded and now the attention is increasingly turning towards the transfer market with plenty of business to be done, futures of upmarket names to be settled and several sagas to be sorted out.

The European heavyweights are bracing themselves for the upcoming summer window and UEFA Champions League finalists Liverpool continue to steal the headlines of the show as the Anfield, as always, remains a prime destination the transfer market.

The Red Half of Merseyside has been touted to be interested in bringing back Memphis Depay to the Premier League after his failed move to rivals Manchester United. While their pursuit can be ignited as the French outfit insist they are open to the sale of 25-year-old.

Depay, however, has revived his footballing career to a great extent at the helm of French Ligue 1 at Olympique Lyon, as he has found the back fo the net for 12 times while has 15 assists on his name this season.

While further reports by Mercato365 insists that Reds had sent scouts to watch Depay in action for Lyon during their 3-0 defeat of Marseille in mid-May.

However, he won’t be coming for cheap as he is valued at  €50 million by transfermrkt.com. It seemingly casts doubt over his Liverpool transfer saga as Reds might not be in for a major outflow on one single name this season after last year’s hefty spend on likes of Van Dijk and Alisson.

The English transfer window has been opened on 16th May while it would be shut on 8th August. Seemingly, the coming few months would decide how Depay’s saga unfolds.
