Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool Recap

Tottenham 0-1 Liverpool

Top of the league Liverpool travelled to North London, in hopes of continuing their unbeaten run in the Premier League. In their way stood Spurs, managed by recently appointed Jose Mourinho. Both sides named strong lineups, though Spurs missed skipper Harry Kane due to injury.

The game was off to a quick start, as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain struck the post in the opening minutes. Liverpool dominated the first half, with a 37thgoal by Roberto Firmino separating the sides at the half.

Spurs came out firing in the second half, playing with a high intensity and putting Liverpool under pressure. However, even with multiple clear-cut chances, failed to capitalize, leaving manager Jose Mourinho head in hands on the touchline.

The win highlighted Liverpool’s ability to win matches while not performing at their highest level. The reds remain top of the table and move one step closer in their quest to win their first top-flight title in 30 years.
