Liverpool vs Southampton Preview

Good Day Fellow Reds!!!!! It feels like we just did this doesn’t it? While I’m sure we are all still buzzing after that great win from Wednesday, that was then, this is now, and we have more trophies to go after! Liverpool could equal their record of eleven straight EPL wins with a win tomorrow at St. Mary’s Stadium. The previous record is from 2014 under Brendan Rogers. The weather on the south coast should be a tad cooler with temps in the upper sixties and a fifty percent chance of rain. The match can be seen on NBCSN at 10am ET.

Injuries

Well here we go again. Last year saw us short on CBs, and this year seems like our Gks are snake-bitten. Alisson is still out with a calf injury and Adrian’s status is up in the air. Adrian sounds like a game time decision. Some douche bag “supporter” thought it was a good idea to invade the pitch to celebrate with the club. Well congratulations asshole! You couldn’t keep your balance and slipped, and kicked Adrian in his ankle. Now it maybe down to Moe, Larry, or Curly to start in goal tomorrow. On a positive note, the now Two-Time cup winning manager said that he is improving by the day, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

Naby though is still out with an undisclosed “muscle thing.” Maybe its just the riggers of going through camp and trying to get match fit, but I guess we’ll cross our fingers on this as well.

The “Easiest Part of this Preview” award goes to So’tons manager Ralph Hasenhuttl who said they have no injuries to report. Thanks Ralph!

Previous Form

Liverpool is perfect this season. They took one win from one match with a 4-1 drubbing of Norwich City.

So’ton lost three-nil in their season opener against Burnley.

Lineup and Predictions

If Adrian can’t go at GK, look for Andy Lonergan, or highly rated youngster Caoimhin Kelleher to get the nod. I say eff it and let Milly Glove up. Across the back, it goes Robbo, The Colossus, Matip and Trent. The mid-field lines up with Fabinho, “The two time Trophy Lifter” Hendo, and I’ll say Lallana gets the start. The front three is still a work in progress for getting some game legs going, so dare I say Shaq on the right, Mo in the middle and Divock on the left? Sounds like a plan to me….Side note .How didn’t Divock score in extra time after he was brought on? Seemed  like it was written in the stars, no?

MOTM goes to Virgil, as he continues to stake his claim and this years Ballon d’Or!

As always I’m greatly appreciative and also humbled that you guys take the time to read my ramblings. You all are the reason why this site gets to do what it does! Like, share, subscribe…hell even contribute! What a time to be a Red, and the future is bright as ever!

“IN ISTANBUL, WE WON IT FOUR TIMES”…nvm lads, doesn’t have the same ring to it does it?
